Responsibility and Accountability for Our Successes
As simple as 1, 2, Zee!
The.Zee has an incredibly uncomplicated approach to building healthy behaviour: easy-to-follow tasks that break the cycle of false starts - transforming intentions into habits.
Welcome to this week’s drop on Performance
Your greatest performance breakthroughs will come when you stop making excuses and start making commitments.
Performance isn't just about hitting targets or achieving goals, it is fundamental to the quality of our lives. When we take responsibility, hold ourselves accountable, and maintain proper support systems, we create a foundation for sustainable success that impacts every aspect of our health. This holistic approach ensures we're not just surviving, but thriving in all areas of life.
Sharp mental performance is the driver of all other successes; it enables better decision-making and problem-solving while preventing cognitive decline and professional stagnation.
Action for today:
Teach someone else something you learned today to reinforce your understanding and hard-wire those new neural pathways.
Find daily tasks to train and maintain your brain’s performance in November’s calendar.
Of course our physical fitness, particularly our diet, directly impacts our energy, focus, and ability to perform; neglecting it leads to decreased productivity, increased sick days, and diminished quality of life.
Action for today:
Prepare tomorrow's healthy meals tonight to ensure good fuel choices and set three non-negotiable movement breaks in your calendar for tomorrow.
Self-awareness forms the foundation of sustainable performance. How often do we make excuses to ourselves? I’ll just watch one episode, it’s just a small piece of cake, the weather is too cold for a walk.
Action for today:
Schedule a 10-minute reflection period to honestly assess your emotional state. Set some goals aligned with your core desires and values, and then catch yourself this week when you're making excuses and don’t follow through.
Note: This is not a judgement exercise, but a self-awareness exercise. Skipping your daily walk once is okay, skipping two days is a habit. Are you showing up for yourself?
